DORNIM SOLICITORS AND LEGAL CONSULTANTS is a reputable boutique law firm based in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos State. The firm is looking to recruit a Senior Associate with excellent academics and atleast 5 years’ experience gained in a reputable law firm or as an in-house counsel. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Solicitor as this is purely a solicitor’s role involving no litigation.Responsibilities:•                Taking instructions from and exploring legal options with the client, his professional team or any relevant third parties;•                Providing expert legal support and advice to clients;•                Drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements;•                Advising on financing of commercial projects and/or transactions, and acquisition and disposal of assets;•                Researching and analyzing the law on complex issues and writing opinions for submission to a supervising lawyer;•                Synthesizing legal research and analysis into a coherent written memorandum or brief for submission to a client or arbitrator;•                Appearing in arbitration or other judicial tribunal on behalf of the firm's client, as well as presenting well-reasoned arguments to the judicial body;•                Negotiating with outside parties on contractual issues and legal disputes, including settlement conferences;•                Anticipating and mitigating potential legal problems within the law firm or for a client — and developing strategies to avoid costly litigation and reduce potential areas of risk;•                Performing due diligence in legal matters concerning contracts, agreements, mergers and acquisitions, etc ;•                Carrying out Company secretarial duties;•                Advising clients on legal/regulatory, compliance and policy developments;•                Actively involved in business development of the practice;•                Attend to smaller matters and aspects of larger matters independently; and•                Any other reasonable duties delegated
